Anyone who knows me knows how I feel about Macy’s. I truly do believe that Macy’s is
magical -just the scent of the store alone can throw me into a state of unadulterated bliss. Shoes, shirts, cosmetics, Oh MY! Macy’s has the ability to instantly comfort me, kind of in the same way that Jasper Hale does with the people around him.
I live over three hours from my closest Macy’s store. When I am planning a trip to the Denver area, I dream for weeks about getting to visit Macy’s. It really is a big deal for me. Yes, you can go ahead and feel sorry for my husband now. When I do get a chance to go to Macy’s, I go big.
Combine that with the holiday decorations and the magic of the season, and I am full-on euphoric. This is why I was so thrilled when I saw a letter that Macy’s sent to Dave Taylor of Intuitive.com. Macy’s is promoting a great “Letters To Santa” campaign in their stores, where they provide mailboxes for kids of all ages to drop letters to Santa in their stores. They’re working to prove to the world that we can all believe in the spirit of the season. For each letter that Macy’s recieves, they’ll donate a dollar to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. What a great cause! Not only are they promoting belief and the magic of Christmas, but they’re also helping some very special kids achieve their dreams.
Come on kids, write your letters and get them over to Macy’s! I’m working on mine now.
